The Korean Liver Transplantation Society (hereinafter, KLTS) provides its members with customized services through KLTS’s website. KLTS requires the submission of personal information to grant access to members-only pages and to support members’ academic activities.
2. Collecting your personal information
The personal information required when applying for KLTS membership includes name, email address, password, institution/organization, department, country, mobile number, and other relevant information. KLTS collects members’ personal information through its website.
3. Storing of your personal information
KLTS will retain your personal information to process and report on tasks requested by members, and to issue operational reports. In addition, it may be used to provide you with useful KLTS services such as conference updates and newsletters. Once the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been fulfilled, or upon termination of the operational agreement, the information will be retained for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations. Thereafter, it will be securely destroyed.
4. Sharing and Provision of Personal Information
This information will be used exclusively by the KLTS organizing committee and will not be disclosed to any third parties. However, exceptions may be made in the following cases: - When disclosure is required by law, or when requested by an investigative agency in accordance with legally prescribed procedures and methods for investigative purposes. - We will notify you of the details of the third party and the scope of the entrusted work, and obtain your prior consent when necessary.
5. Information on the Use of Automatic Data Collection Tools and the Right to disable Them
